New Addition

I did it. I finally buckled down and took an afternoon to paint my dresser. Man did it turn out bright! haha but I kinda like it. I might rough it up a bit and make it more antique-looking. I also want to put some cute knobs on the drawers...I found some at Anthropologie, but they are quite the investment! So we'll see....

But whether you love the new addition to my room, or think that I am just down right out of my mind, I enjoy it and it's brightness makes me happy for Summer. :)

SEX AND THE CITY

Yesterday was my friend Jen's birthday, and she had a GIRL'S ONLY "Sex and The City" themed party. (until the boys showed up with a little dance for Jen...;) Now, I haven't seen any of the t.v. episodes, but I have seen the movie....So of course I completely failed the trivia game that we played. But I still enjoyed the virgin Cosmopolitan and the cutest, smallest cupcakes I had ever seen. So we got all dressed up in our favorite character's style and headed out to Happy Sumo.

And then the festivities began!...........

Mother's Day

Mother's Day.

A day to celebrate motherhood and everything that a sweet Mother, grandmother, sister, aunt does for us! My beautiful mom passed away almost 6 years ago and today I have the opportunity to reflect back on everything that she was in my life and everything she taught me. I am so grateful for the wisdom, love, compassion, and motherly traits that my mother showed to me. I will use those for the rest of my life and when I am a mom someday. She was the greatest woman that I know, and my best friend always. I am so blessed to have had her in my life for the 14 years that I did. Tell your mom you love her!
