Today is just one of those days...you know?

Where all you feel like doing is curling up in bed and not have to think about the worries in your life.

.....or where you feel like you just want to purchase a one way ticket to Europe and travel for months to get away.

......or somehow get your hands on a time machine and skip over all the bad stuff.


......or get a giant eraser and erase all of your dumb mistakes that have only made life harder.

But let's be real....stuff happens in life that you just have to deal with. I only wish that the bad stuff could be erased, but it can't. So I guess it's my job to learn from experiences and move on. Not healthy to dwell, but it's healthy to reflect. I hope that today turns out better....because life's too short to worry. That's all.

Mod Podge 101

Materials:

-a sponge brush

-Mod Podge (available at any craft store)

-Wrapping paper or wall paper (I got mine at Ikea)

-an exacto knife

-pair of scissors

Step one: measure and cut wrapping paper to size of surface. (mine being the top of my dresser)

Step Two: Paint Mod Podge onto surface with sponge brush. I painted it on the back of the wrapping paper too just to ensure a good hold!

Step Three: Place wrapping paper on surface very carefully and immediately start smoothing out all the bubbles. I used a book end or the bottom of my fist. I might recommend a level or something a bit more sturdy. Be careful to not rip the paper though!

Step Four: Cut off the remaining paper right on the edge of the surface. Wait for the glue to dry before you start cutting! or the paper will tear.

Okay, okay. I know I have been blogging alot lately, but that just means my life is filled with new and exciting things ALL the time. right? ...right??
I'll just keep reassuring myself. ;)

ANYWHO...besides working at the boutique, I also nanny this adorable little boy, Ivan. He is so much fun! His parents are way too rad and have a love for bikes. (as do I) This last week, they added this beauty to their extensive collection. I think I had to wipe the drool from my mouth when I saw it. I could just picture myself riding one of these down the cobble stone streets in Amsterdam with a bunch of fresh vegetables and flowers filling the boat. ok....I dream alot. So??

One of them crafty days again....

Today I woke up with nothing on the agenda except for a doctors appointment and some yoga. So that crazy decorating bug bit me again...I felt like making my room even brighter...which I didn't even think was possible!?! And I also got the urge to buy some fresh flowers for my room. (One of my many fetishes) a mixture of white peonies and pink lilys caught my eye! This picture doesn't even do them justice, but I will post it anyways just so you can get an idea of why I love fresh flowers. They brighten any room, and they make me smile.

Oh, but the day wasn't over and I felt like sewing some new pillows for my bed. I love love love Amy Butler's fabrics. So I drove to a cute fabric store in Springville that carried it and got enough to sew a couple throw pillows. (man, that stuff is pricey!$$)

So here is the end result. If you don't like em, too bad. I do cuz they look splendid with my blinding bright dresser.
